Yesterday I went shopping and I must admit as long as the price is about right I don't normally check my receipts but I thought when the cashier rang up the bill it seemed a bit high. When I got outside I checked it and she had charged me twice for an expensive product.

Do you always check your receipts and have you ever been overcharged?

If it happens to me, I go straight to the manager of this establishment. Sometimes they do this to cheat innocent souls. This bad deed needs to stop. We need to call their attention to this matter. What if we are at home and found out, it takes time and energy to complain about it. The sad part is they can also deny it.

No but there is a simple way to cope with a overcharges If you are charged more than the advertised, posted or quoted a price, report it to the sales clerk right away. ... By law, you are entitled to the lowest advertised, posted or quoted price offered by the store. Stores must honor a posted price, even if the price has expired.

I hardly check for over charges when making purchases, I am more after getting the right items than what I am charge, my believe is always that the number of items are right and reflected in the receipt of payment. So I haven't had this experience before.

Yes I do make my shopping list and go with it doing every calculation. I do compare the receipts and my budget expenses anything wrong I go back to the cashier. If you are not keen they usually overcharge.

Yes, I've been charged more in a bike shop. I'm just stopping by to put air in my tires but all of a sudden, a crew told me to change my tire's interior or else it won't aired and it will stay as flat. I've got no choice because I'm new in cycling, realized that there's nothing wrong with my tires.

I have not been overcharged in the shops before so I don't know what to expect.
