Did you ever get fired from a job?

Question

I was once fired because a senior manager told a lie about me. I was just 18 and he had been there years. No one believed me and I was fired.

Have you ever been fired? What was the reason?

Yes. I was once fired by the store manager because I broke a wine which was too expensive for me to pay even if she could deduct it from my salary.

But it was a blessing in disguise, I got a job in a call center which pays not twice but thrice my salary in my previous job. It really is true that if one door closes,a better one will open.

Yes sometimes things that seem bad at the time turn out to be for the best. I also got a better job after I was fired.

No, I always pray to god that never bring this day in my life because my job is my everything and I always do my office work with heart due to the fear of getting fired from job.

Sometimes when one door closes another one opens. I got a better job when I was fired but hopefully you never will be.

No, I'm not and I hope not at all. Actually I ever resign from my company because I want move on and achieve my dream. That's way I decide to move to another company, because I got a better position in my job.

So sorry that the injustice was done to you. That place was obviously not a suitable place of work for you. And the experience had saved you from long-term heartaches, stress, anxiety and unhappiness. Good riddance to them!

A better working place must have been waiting for you. Was there afterwards?

Thankfully, I have not been fired in the two years I entered the workforce from being a stay-at-home mom of 31 years.

Yes I did find a better job afterwards and I learned that there are benefits to being older in the work place. As I got older I gained far more respect than when I was young.

I never experienced being fired. I am the one who quits the job. It is a sad thing that people can do this to innocent people. If I were in your shoes, I will file a formal complaint to the authority. In my country, we have a local government agency that can check this thing out and conduct an investigation.

I was very young at the time and I didn't know much about filing formal complaints. I just found another job. Strangely enough the guy who got me fired knew my dad and always asked after me so I think he felt guilty about what he did.

That's the problem for some people. They judge people without knowing them. I can dig how you felt at that time. Perhaps if I am so naive at that time, I will be in your situation, too.

Yes I have been fired from a job before. The problem was that it was difficult combining work and studies and I gave more attention to my studies because of the high school fees, my believe was that I can always get another job so I had to take my studies seriously.

Yes. I got fired twice. First time I got fired because my boss felt like I was controlling his money. I am an accountant so I thought I was doing what was best for the company and him. A year later the company shutdown,it crumbled due to too much debt and operating on an overdraft didn't help things. Second time I was accused of reporting the company to tax man. I didn't. They didn't have proof but they fired me anyway because they said I was the only onale capable since I had access to financial information about the company. I sued them and I won the case, they had to pay me all the money I was to get for that whole year of my contract.

Yes, last year at my latest company. I haven't fired because of any mistakes done. Covid really hits different in 2020. The company has been toxic and they released many staffs in order to reduce budget they use in salary. I am one of those people who lose their jobs because of pandemic strike.
