We can store a BBQ gas grill in a home by taking some precautions like--

* Clean the cooking grates before and after every use.

* Apply vegetable oil to the clean grates before cooking.

* Empty the grease traps after every use.

* Brush off the rocks or bars as necessary.

* Wash the grill lid, the control knobs and the warming racks with warm, soapy water as necessary.

* Wipe down the gas grill exterior with a sponge or washrag and warm soapy water.

* Apply a stainless polish to any exterior stainless steel surfaces.

* Perform a thorough cleaning two or three times during grilling season.

* Protect the gas grill by covering it with a waterproof grill cover between uses.

Store your grill once your grill is clean, dry and covered, store in a cool, dry place, preferably sheltered from rain and snow. Make sure when storing a gas grill, you disconnect and remove the propane tank. Store your grill in a garage or storage ahed, but leave the propane tank outside.

Remember that propane tanks should only be kept outside in a dry, open, well-ventilated; they should never be kept inside, whether it be in an attic, basement, garage, and so on.

Clean the grill thoroughly, remove the propane tank, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Use a grill cover to protect it from dust and debris, and store it in a secure location to prevent accidents.
