Many people are wearing the surgical face masks to protect themselves against covid-19 but there are many ways we can make our own and we are being asked to do that as the surgical masks should be saved for the medical profession. There are all sorts of different designs that can be bought on Amazon or Ebay. What type of mask are you wearing?image

If you can blow through it and it blows out a flame , it’s not protecting you from diddly squat, just makes it hard to breathe, so please, for the love of god, buy legit masks instead of knitting your own people.

Our government is recommending that we make our own through two layers of cloth .. definitely not knitted as that would be no use at all.

Ideally, some medical experts require the frontliners to use N95 face masks. However, it is not available in the market nowadays. The option is to use washable face masks. I, myself is using them. I do agree that most of them are becoming fashionable with unique designs.

Different types of mask offer different levels of protection. Surgical grade N95 respirators offer the highest level of protection against Covid-19 infection, followed by surgical grade masks. However, these masks are costly, in limited supply, contribute to landfill waste and are uncomfortable to wear for long periods. So even countries that have required the public to wear face masks have generally suggested such masks should be reserved for health workers or those at particularly high risk.

I have seen different sorts of face mask during this period, for me I prefer the medical ones, the type worn by medical personnel in the hospitals, one side of it is blue while the other side is white. I feel other types are not safe, and stick to the one I know.

I'd probably use a face mask that's been bought from the pharmacies. It is tested safe before it's sold in public. But due to lack of money by the people, we try to sew a cloth as a face mask or any kind of coverings in both our nose and mouth

I prefer to protect myself against the virus by wearing a face covering when I am outside.

The face covering can protect against a number of viruses, including SARS, SARS-CoV, and even the flu.

Different types of face coverings commonly used to protect against viruses like COVID-19.

1. **Surgical masks:** These disposable masks are commonly used in healthcare settings. They provide a barrier to respiratory droplets but may not provide as tight a seal as other types of masks.

2. **Cloth masks:** Cloth masks are reusable and can be made from various materials such as cotton, polyester, or a combination of fabrics. They offer some protection against respiratory droplets and can be washed and reused.

3. **N95 respirators:** These masks are designed to filter out at least 95% of airborne particles, including small respiratory droplets containing viruses. They provide a higher level of protection than surgical masks or cloth masks but are typically reserved for healthcare workers and other high-risk individuals.

4. **KN95 masks:** Similar to N95 respirators, KN95 masks are designed to filter out at least 95% of airborne particles. They are commonly used in non-healthcare settings as an alternative to N95 respirators.

The choice of face covering depends on various factors, including the level of risk, availability, comfort, and fit. It's essential to wear a face covering properly, covering both the nose and mouth, and to follow other recommended preventive measures, such as maintaining physical distance and practicing good hand hygiene, to reduce the spread of viruses.
