The number one prevention for COVID 19 virus not to spread is through social distancing so it is highly applicable that we will have distance learning. Distance learning has a lot of advantages such as significant cost savings, no need to commute, and convenient learning. In addition, we can also hasten to stop the spread of the virus then we can go back to our lives before the pandemic.

There is no doubt that social distancing is the best course of action not to spread this killer virus. I anticipate that it's not easy to incorporate distance learning. But then, things will run smoothly once being fixed and settled.

At this moment of pandemic, the answer is yes. The need for social distancing as one means of not catching the COVID 19 has pushed for the call for distance learning and so many schools have keyed into it by delivering lectures and exams online.

Pandemic has been changing our lives now and that includes students. In my country, it is still in the process of accepting distance learning. The sad part is that some parents cannot afford to purchase or provide modern gadgets for their kids. The target date is not laid down yet for the month of August.

1. Course flexibility means learning whenever you have the time

Distance education has scored high on flexibility for students. Additionally, remote access to distance learning courses helps students worldwide to study from the comfort of their homes, or while on the move. Students remain independent and empowers them to organize their own schedule. As an added bonus, they get to develop their time management skills by managing a learning calendar.

2. A faster track to graduation

More universities offer intensive online Master programmes that allow students to graduate earlier, so they can get a job faster or resume focusing on their career. You might find a lot of Masters that take only 1 year or 1 year and a half to graduate. You should take into consideration the fact that shorter learning periods mean you will have to dedicate more time per week for your studies.

By keeping learning time more compressed, degrees focus on teaching the essentials and, once again, place the responsibility of going more in-depth on the student.

You did give the beneficial effects of distance learning. I do not have a low opinion if this the best option for students to continue learning through online classes. How about the constraints? Sometimes it is easy to say it, but we sometimes forget the limitations. I am pointing to the financial problems that are becoming the main concern for this unexpected pandemic situation.

Distance learning is what the future looks like. Many people can't adjust with this kind of learning system because they focus on the past system of learning. Many people are focusing on the present day using the past system which results of their blindness about the future.

No they don't have options , and it is hard for most families because they need more than one pc or laptop because they have more than 2 or 3 kids and the lessons start online at the same time.

Parents find it heavy on them and now they are happy to send their kids to school.

There is a great need for distance learning. Sometimes we don't have the opportunity to learn from the people we once did. Sometimes we need to go to different places to get a different perspective.

Do you think that distance learning will play a role in educating the general public about technology?

There is a great need for distance learning because not many people are using technology the way they should.kids are getting older and they need to be able to use technology to learn.

We need to find ways to get students to use technology in a way where they are not discouraged.Maybe we need to find different ways to get students to use technology and see if that is possible.

Yes, there are alternative approaches for students and parents to consider if providing modern gadgets for remote learning is challenging or not feasible. Here are some options:

  1. Utilize Existing Devices: Many households already have smartphones, tablets, or computers that can be repurposed for educational use. While these devices might not be the latest models, they can still be effective for accessing online resources and participating in virtual classes.
