During lockdown many people were trying to pull their own teeth because there were no dentists available and they were in terrible pain. One woman took painkillers and tried to do it herself before she could get help but she was unsuccessful. Would you pull your own tooth if you had severe pain?

No, It was the terrible thing to do and it was also not good to do without the help of a doctor where it may lead to a severely bad reaction also.

Yes, I had done this one time when I was 12 years old and due to this I was unable to sleep that night because it gives lots and lots of pain. Next day my mother immediately taken me to dentist and after 2days I take relief. It was very bad incident I never want to think about that again in my life.

Was this a first or a second tooth? Baby teeth usually fall out on their own without much pain.

When a tooth aches, it doesn't mean it needed to be pulled out. Most likely it has a cavity that needs to be mended.

The immediate remedy is to take medication for the pain and perhaps anti-biotics if there is an inflammation. However, if the tooth is really loose and can be pulled with less effort... I think I once did before...  then again the tooth was already loose. Otherwise, pulling a tooth by force might cause an infection.

I will not do this. I know that it is not easy to have dental procedures now. The woman will not be successful in extracting her tooth because it is not possible for having swollen gums. It is a big no for a dentist to extract it, too.

No, i won't ever tried. Because, only professional can do that. The dentist is the one who is authorized to pull or extract your tooth. Also, it is difficult to pull our tooth on our own. The tooth is very sentive.

At this point in time, there is still no way for a dentist to predictably administer a local anesthetic except as an injection (a "shot").

We'll admit that receiving one may hurt a bit. But we'll also emphatically state that it doesn't always.

Here's more information about this subject. It may help to put your mind

No. It is always advised to check with your dentist and have them extract your teeth. If dentists are not available in their office, always try to call them and ask what to do but never ever pull your tooth on your own. If you do it on your own, there will be chances of root fracture and the root fragments will be left in the socket or worse the bone supporting your tooth will be fractured, and there will be chances of infection because the tools you're using is not sterile like that in a dental clinic.

Sometimes pain surpasses our right thinking but I would rather look for other better home remedies for the treatment and easing of the pain.

I know some pains are very difficult to bare but it doesn't give us the opportunity to cause harm to our selves no matter what happens be strong and courageous.

Yes, I would try to pull my own tooth.

It could be difficult to do so because the tooth is embedded in the gum line.
