Since the lockdown I have been experimenting more with rice and pasta dishes and I must admit they have been quite successful. I leave the cake side of it to my granddaughter as she likes to bake and she is quite good for a 13 year old.

spending time alone can be frustrating so cooking can be of help to ease boredom. My favorite spaghetti with white sauce is one of my favorites, cooking Brazo de Mercedes as my dessert and almond oatmeal cookies for snacks that's my routine.

Easy Beef Pies

We make a lot of French dips and always have leftover roast beef. Here's how I put it to good use. For these pies, use any vegetables you like. They're extra awesome drenched in cheese sauce. —Jennie Weber, Palmer, Alaska

I like the meal you had mentioned. For now, the best thing we can do is to eat slow food. We also need to consider having healthy food in our system. So that we can boost our immune system and will fight against possible diseases, especially COVID-19.

I used to make a living as a cook but now it's not something I really enjoy. Since the lockdown I have been experimenting more with rice and pasta dishes and I must admit they have been quite successful. I leave the cake side of it to my granddaughter as she likes to bake and she is quite good for a 13 year old.

I cooked many traditional foods that I had taken long before eating them

These included:

1.boiled sweet potatoes

2.mixture of maize, beans and pumpkin

3.fermented milk with whole meal chapati

I felt this time was good for me to eat them again since we were in lock down and had much time for preparing them.

I eat the home cooked my mom. It's a variety of different simple menus that we usually eat at home like meat with soup, fried fish, sometimes canned goods, rice, pancake, and oatmeal, and we buy pasta and rotisserie chicken.

You should cook food that you enjoy and that you can do things with. Chocolate chips cookies are a specific type of cookie that you should make and eat.

To ensure an adequate fibre intake, aim to include vegetables, fruit, pulses and wholegrain foods in all meals. Wholegrains foods include oats, brown pasta and rice, quinoa and whole-wheat bread and wraps, rather than refined grain foods such as white pasta and rice, and white bread.

During my home quarantine, I cooked a variety of dishes to keep things interesting. Some of my favorites were homemade pizzas, stir-fried vegetables, baked chicken, pasta with different sauces, and hearty soups. It was a great opportunity to explore new recipes and improve my cooking skills.

During COVID-19 quarantine, it's a good idea to cook meals that are nutritious, easy to prepare with available ingredients, and can be made in larger batches for leftovers. Here are some ideas:

1. **Pasta Dishes:** Pasta is versatile and can be paired with various sauces. You can make simple spaghetti with tomato sauce, pesto pasta, or macaroni and cheese.

2. **Rice Bowls:** Create rice bowls with cooked rice as a base and top it with sautéed vegetables, protein (like chicken, tofu, or beans), and your favorite sauce or seasoning.

3. **Soup:** Homemade soups, like vegetable soup or chicken noodle soup, are comforting and can be made in larger quantities to freeze for later.

4. **Stir-Fries:** Stir-fry vegetables and protein (chicken, beef, tofu) with your choice of sauce and serve over rice or noodles.

5. **Omelettes or Scrambled Eggs:** Eggs are a versatile and easy source of protein. You can make omelettes or scrambled eggs with a variety of fillings.

6. **Baked Casseroles:** Make casseroles with ingredients like pasta, rice, vegetables, and a protein, baked with a sauce or cheese.

7. **Grilled Sandwiches:** Create gourmet sandwiches by grilling them with various fillings, such as cheese, vegetables, and deli meats.

8. **Homemade Pizza:** Make your own pizza using pre-made pizza dough or tortillas as a base and add your favorite toppings.

9. **Salads:** Create hearty salads with a mix of fresh vegetables, proteins (like grilled chicken, beans, or tofu), and a tasty dressing.

10. **Slow Cooker Meals:** Slow cookers are great for making stews, chili, or pot roast. You can prepare ingredients in the morning and have a ready meal by dinner.

11. **Baking:** Try your hand at baking, making bread, muffins, cookies, or cakes to enjoy as treats or snacks.

Remember to be mindful of food safety and hygiene, and try to incorporate a variety of fruits, vegetables, and proteins into your meals to ensure a well-balanced diet. Cooking at home during quarantine can be an enjoyable and productive way to pass the time while maintaining a healthy diet.
