Why do some people fill hungry after eating an apple
more_vert
I don't know why I feel hungry after eating an apple, but I do.  To me, eating an apple is like consuming empty calories.  Having a piece of apple pie is a different story.

It is surely related to having an acidic stomach. If a person has this stomach condition, he or she will be feeling hungry just consuming the apples. The best thing is to let them eat something before having this fruit. This is common for those who have 'peptic ulcer.'

The feeling of hunger increases as a consequence of low sugar in blood and it is connected with insulin level in the blood. When we eat apple it triggers the production of insulin, which in turn lowers the sugar level and makes us feel hungry. In addition apples contains malic acid which aids in quick digestion.

It doesn't have any of the fiber of the fruit it came from, which is a big reason apples and grapes make you feel full and slow the flow of sugar into your bloodstream. Without fiber, your blood sugar can quickly spike and then crash, and make you hungry.

Apple has fiber content in it. And when you eat fiber, you tend to just fill up the stomach for short time. You don't get too many calories out of it. And that means you get hungry lot quicker. But the apple is good for the stomach and also it can be useful to eat it as a breakfast item.

I think it's because of the high metabolism triggered by eating apples. As for me when I take apples, I tend to take alot of water. I usually feel thirsty and cannot refuse the urge to respo3by taking many glasses of water.

Because after you eat an apple, the fiber helps slow down the absorption of its fructose by your bloodstream. The liquid sugar will make your blood sugar spike, then slump and that can leave you feeling hungry. However, some people find themselves feeling hungry even after eating.

Apples are low in calories and fiber, causing some people to not feel satisfied after eating one. Additionally, individual digestion rates may vary
