I am not a person who can give money for donations. I prefer to share my professional skills to others and be used by them in a practical way.

I'm not sure what your professional skills are or what group of needy people you are hoping to help such as homeless or maybe people that are hungry, or people that can't afford a certain service like lawn care or car repairs.

I think volunteering at a local shelter, or hospital for low income families would help you fill that need of wanting to help. I myself have brought good to the homeless, have volunteered at the Ronald Mcdonald house, and have been z respite provider for a group home for at risk children. There are so many things you can do without giving money. The best help comes from your willingness too help and from your compassion towards others.

Best of luck to you!

To make the record straight, I am in the medical field and I transferred my professional skills to doctors in Tajikistan before. It means that I enhanced and they adapted new soft skills to treat people with disabilities. It was a volunteer program under the umbrella of an international NGO.

Here are five ways to help poor people: Give them support: A good way to help poor people is to give them a hand or a hug. Give them moral support, show love, respect and make them aware that someone really cares about them. Give them economic support: Ordinary people can help poor people by giving economic support.

Do you think it is good for them to learn some skills to have a livelihood?  I do agree with the moral support for them to have.

If you can go out on the street, and teach them how to get food, and teach them education. It is a very hard life. I have been homeless myself. And when you are that way, it is hell. When a human being is going to have to live on a street homeless that is not fair. People in jail get it better, animals get it better.

I can feel you with this matter. I know that there are other people who have a golden heart. They can help the needy. I had seen some people who are in a difficult situation and tried to help them out. I am sorry that you experienced this situation. The good thing is you stand on your feet and face the challenges.

We can do many things to help the needy peoples like--

* We can give those clothes to them which we are not wearing.

* We can donate some money to orphanage.

* We can give them one week ration from our home, etc.

I can help to the needy is by praying for them. I would pray that despite of the struggles that been through i hope that are in good health that many kind people would help them.   Because i have no money to give now a days because i have no income that is all i can do is by praying for them.  But if i have extra money and work i can do is by donating money or by buying them some foods or cook for them and give them food. I can also give them my old clothes or stuff.

These are good ways to help others. I am sure local officials in the government can use their power to do good deeds to people who are really in need.

If I have money, I would give them money to start a work, so they can independent for fulfilling their everyday needs. As I didn't have much money, I would advice them to live in the forest as there are so much natural foods for them to life. Also they can sell wild fruits to the market.

I like the idea, but it is best to train them to have soft skills for having their livelihood. Then, they can use the money given to them.

People are in need so differently. Some may be in need of support in their education, others may be in need of food, clothing, shelter, medical attention.

All these happen in our society. I prefer helping by giving out food, referring my friends to help in whatever way they can. And also giving out outgrown but still good looking clothes.

You had described the generic way of helping others. For me, it is best to teach them soft skills to be more sustainable in giving them livelihoods.

The needed person who need help should ask or find a way to get helped. By keeping it secretly, the needed person didn't get benefits. So it should be exposed both the need and the person who helped him.the help can be in any way, not necessary to be in money. It can be physical or mental.

I think these needy people will be passive when it comes to asking more help in the form of money. I would consider the shelters.

More than a decade ago, I volunteered to have a medical mission in Tajikistan.  I helped the medical professionals to give proper treatment for people with disbabilities (PWDs).

Helping the needy depends on what you have and can offer, you can't give what you don't have so if you want to give people things it should be what you have from the debt of your heart.

I can recommend some smaller amounts that would be helpful to you. For example, if you can donate $10, I can recommend giving $10 worth of donations.

There are various ways to help the needy. You can volunteer at local shelters or food banks, donate to charitable organizations, participate in fundraising events, provide mentorship or skills training, offer emotional support, or advocate for social and policy changes that address systemic issues contributing to poverty and inequality.

Helping the needy can be a rewarding and compassionate act. Here are some ways to provide assistance:

1. **Donate to Charities:** Contribute to reputable charities and non-profit organizations that focus on addressing the needs of the less fortunate.

2. **Volunteer Your Time:** Offer your time and skills to local shelters, food banks, or community organizations. Volunteering can have a direct and positive impact.

3. **Clothing and Goods Donations:** Donate gently used clothing, household items, and other necessities to organizations that distribute them to those in need.

4. **Food Donations:** Contribute non-perishable food items to local food banks or participate in community food drives.

5. **Educational Support:** Support educational initiatives for the needy, such as providing school supplies, sponsoring a child's education, or volunteering as a tutor.

6. **Mentorship:** Offer guidance and mentorship to individuals who may benefit from your expertise and experience.

7. **Housing Assistance:** Support organizations that provide housing assistance to those experiencing homelessness or financial hardships.

8. **Healthcare Support:** Contribute to healthcare initiatives or volunteer at clinics that offer medical services to those who cannot afford them.

9. **Financial Assistance:** Provide financial assistance directly or through established channels to help cover basic needs like rent, utilities, or medical expenses.

10. **Advocacy:** Advocate for policies that address the root causes of poverty and inequality. Raise awareness about social issues and promote systemic change.

11. **Employment Opportunities:** If possible, create or support initiatives that provide employment opportunities or job training for the needy.

12. **Spread Awareness:** Use your voice and social platforms to raise awareness about social issues and encourage others to contribute to helping the needy.

Remember, the most effective assistance often involves understanding the specific needs of the individuals or communities you aim to help. Before providing support, it can be helpful to research and collaborate with established organizations to ensure your efforts align with the actual needs of the community and are conducted in a respectful and sustainable manner.
