This is not common to all ant but some specie of ants. Some ant posses acidic vedoms that hurts during bite, this burning sensation lasts for a while or even longer depending on the type of ant you have been stung by. This is a form of defence for these insects.

Ants don't literally 'bite' you. They just let out a small drop of acidic venom off their mouths on to your skin which causes you to feel that blistering pain like a burn. This burning sensation lasts for a while or even longer depending on the type of ant you have been stung by.

Don't scratch -- Fire ant venom kills healthy cells at the injection site, and the body responds by forming a small, protective blister or pustule that itches and is tender to the touch. Don't scratch. Breaking the pustules makes fire ant bites more vulnerable to infection.

Humans feel the pain because of the skin's sensory receptors. The signal is transmitted through the nerve fibers to the autonomic nervous system (brain and spinal cord). Then, it will be interpreted as pain. It does not apply only of ant bites, but also anything that touches our skin.

Whenever the ant bites us, its sting is damaging our skin cells and our nervous system. Our nervous system is telling our brain on what is happening and that calls pain. Imagine in the White House, if someone tries to breach the mansion, Security Service will take action.

Ants have a stinger that contains venom, which they use to defend themselves or their colony. When an ant stings a person, the venom causes pain, redness, and swelling at the site of the sting. The severity of the reaction depends on the individual's sensitivity to the venom and the type of ant that caused the sting.

Ants release a chemical called formic acid onto your skin when they bite. The release of this acid, along with the pinch from their mandibles, causes symptoms of an ant bite. Some people are allergic to formic acid, which can cause a reaction in your body beyond the site of the ant bite.

The person is getting pain from the ant's sting. This is a common happens to them especially when they are child or large pet. There are many reasons for this such as the ant beingistic that it is getting the stings from the ant in the same place it was stung before. It could be from the increased inflammation in the area due to the stings or from the fact that it is so small. It is important to call a professional or go to the hospital if you are feeling any pain or distress from the ant's sting.
