Some people simply can't keep their opinions to themselves. Some nags and won't stop until they get you to agree with them. How do you handle these kinds of people?

The best way to deal with unsolicited advice

  1. Close it down
  2. Stop taking it parsonally
  3. Move on
  4. Learn how to identify the sources

I simply ignore these people. The silent treatment is the best course of action to stop them. If they noticed being treated this way, they will just stop. However, some people cannot conceal sharing their opinions and trying to prove something.

I would suggest not opening a specific topic you do not wish for people to give unwanted advice. Another approach is by telling them that you just want them to listen without any unnecessary comments (politely). One more approach is just ignoring the unsolicited advice; in one ear and out the other.

It's true that people do have different opinions from us and cannot hold back. For me I would just ignore and this will act to tell them that am not interested.

Well people can tell you what they feel and they can also advice you but it's not all advice we need to accept some just needs to be trashed immediately.

To handle unsolicited advice, politely thank the person for their input, but also assert your own boundaries and decisions. You can also redirect the conversation or simply ignore the advice if it's not helpful.

You could try trying to ignore the person or, worse, trying to make them feel comfortable by insisting they agree with you. Another option could be toacity give them specific recommendations or help them figure out a solution.
