I'd never thought about how cheetahs sound until today. Interesting.

They are, actually, large cats that can't roar. But they do purr a lot, though.

What do you think?

That is nice. It will make them sound like domesticated cats only dangerous.

Cheetahs don't roar but the adorable noises they do make will surprise you. Cheetahs may be fatest land mammal in the world, but there's one thing they can't do roar. "All of the none roaring cats like the cheetah have a one piece hyoid bone. Only four cats can roar, the lion, tiger, leopard and jaguar

"Roaring cats" (lions, tigers, jaguars, and leopards) have an incompletely ossified hyoid, which in theory allows them to roar but not to purr. Cheetahs belong to the "purring cats" subfamily and as such do not roar. Cheetahs don't express themselves with fierce roars. They meow and purr just like a regular housecat.

Cheetahs can not roar. Cheetah has one piece hyoid bone. For roaring it needs to have 2 piece hyoid bone. All roaring cats have 2 piece hyoid bone. The roaring cats are tiger, lion, leopard and jaguar.

Cheetahs cannot roar but they make purring and meow noises like a regular domestic cat because they have one hyoid bone compared to other big cats who have two hyoid bones which is required to roar.

As far as I know, cheetah growls and not to roar. However, there are some circumstances that they chirp with the moment between a mother and her cub. Moreover, they can hiss like domestic cats when being in a dangerous situation to warn the predator.

Even though they are the fastest mammals out there doesn't mean they can roar but they do make sounds of their own I would suggest you look up some videos on youtube.

Cheetahs are the fastest animals on land that belong to the cat family. They are streamlined to enable them in swift movement when running. However, they don't roar like the lion, instead they meawow like the domestic cats.

Cheetah don't roar they purr or meow.

Even though they are big and mighty their anatomy is similar to house cat.their voice box is fixed which makes purring sounds like cat.

Cheetahs which are widely known because of their speed are part of the cats family, cheetahs like every other cat family animal except lion, can't roar, but they produce noise which may sound pleasing to the ear.

Cheetahs can't roar, though they can they purr. Still, conservation groups tend to embrace the wider definition of “big cats” that also includes snow leopards and cougars. Even though their speed makes them fearsome hunters, cheetahs are the most vulnerable of the world's big cats.
