Position of notches at the body of RAM will tell the type of RAM .

If you see in detail you will see two notches for DDR RAM .

The position of the notches will,however,be different from one another

Yes we can identify different of ram by speed rating on the label

Usually, the notches will tell you. Compare a few in person and it's not hard to tell although the notch positions for DDR2, 3, etc can be a little harder to recognize from each other.

Yes we can indentify the type of ram it is by the speed rating on the label. If it doen't out right say the ddt type. If there is no label.
