Why is it that so many super-rich people have only one thought in mind, which is to become even richer?

There are some notable and welcome exceptions to this rule - Bill and Melinda Gates come to mind - but it seems that if you are already rolling in cash - and I mean billions of dollars - it seems that your every waking moment is devoted to acquiring as much more of the stuff as you can get your greedy mitts on. You can't possibly live long enough to spend what you've got, so what is the point of getting even more?

In real life, rich people are becoming richer and the poor are becoming poorer. The only answer that lingering in my mind is rich people are greedy and they do not want to share their wealth with the needy. I am not saying it in general though.

Yes you might be right ,But I don't think all the rich people are greedy, some just don't have the time to share the riches with the poor.

If I had to guess, I would say to ensure that they will never be poor and for their family. If I was a millionaire I would continue to improve because its always room for it. Greedy? No. But, continue to work and improve, absolutely. Im sure I wouldn't spend billions in this life time or the next but Im sure my kids, grandkids, great grandkids, family, etc would. That's who I would be doing it for.

I think they want even more because they wouldn't want anyone in the whole world to be richer than them so they keep pushing on. Another reason may be that they still have more and more sources of money and they keep earning per second so they don't find it necessary to through it all away just like that.

Other rich man were so competitive. If they see someone who owns this thing then He will buy an item more expensive than what He saw.

That my friend is what u call GREED. The more u have is the more u want. Some people fear losing all they have so they try to gather as much as possible so this will never happen to them. Others have come from a less fortunate back ground and decide they are never going back there, so they too gather more and more. Others are just straight up greedy and want all for power to control ..

The society of today is full of evil of every kind. Most rich people do not to associate or even share their wealth with the poor. They want to aquire more due to greed and selfish attitude that they have. But not all of them.

All of us are afraid of losing our money specially the rich ones who have plenty of it. They plan to be richer because they want to survive more and want to pass their legacy to their sons and relatives. That's why the rich are striving more to earn more money than a typical person

By time they became obsessed with making money m and when they make more they start to think how to increase it because they don't want their money to get less so they keep increasing it. also some rich people like to be noticed as rich all the time so they afraid to lose their prestige and begin famous between people

When money matters more, the relationship ends. All are greedy behind the money, which breaks the values of relationship. Even if my brother and family or wife and kid suffer, i don't care i need only money. There is a saying in the bible that the god will allow the greedy person to grow like a big palm. So rich people are very greedy to catch others money, for that they will do any harm.but the fools didn't knows the undeserving money will not be useful for them.

Because people can never be satisfied with any amount they have. Day by day, the rich will always look for a way to become Richer. That's why, they always say that, it is only death that can satisfy human.
