My school is doing the whole online learning thing this year and I was just asking, if they are using a service and I don't agree with said services privacy policy, will they be allowed to just fail me? I want to pass school but I also don't want companies to use me for profit. Thank you for any responses.

If you are following the school guidelines and not violating them, then why worry to be failed. Teachers can only fail you if you are not performing in class physically or online class.

School rules are there to help guide students while in school if you are not violating them, then you should not worry of being failed. Students are human beings who have rights and you shouldn't be forced to do anything against your wish whatsoever.

No, it is not a good idea. We all have our right to privacy. For getting education we didn't need to harm or ruin our privacy. But when we use social media the same thing is happening without our knowledge.

No, it may be questionable but a school must not force anyone to a rule that their enrollee was unable to follow. If I'm forced or maybe theres a rule I didn't agree with, I'd rather change my school

Schools can establish policies and rules that students are expected to follow, and there may be consequences for not complying with these policies. However, it's important to understand your rights as a student and the principles of academic freedom.

Students have the right to express their opinions and beliefs, but this must be done within the boundaries of the school's rules and policies. Schools can enforce policies related to behavior, attendance, and other aspects of student conduct. If you disagree with a school policy, it's typically best to engage in constructive dialogue with the school administration, express your concerns, and seek clarification on the policy. Some schools may have processes in place for students to voice their opinions and request policy changes.

If a school policy infringes on your rights or beliefs, you may want to consult with a legal expert or an advocacy organization specializing in education and student rights. It's essential to understand the specific policies in question, the laws in your jurisdiction, and your options for addressing any disagreements with school policies.
