The gland itself might have some sort of disorder and then this disorder must be the one treated. Hormones will help you balance the sidorder and then have it fixed. The disorder can be controlled making the gland work normally. However having it 100% fixed without the use of medication/hormones is quite rare.

The important tthing here is to restore the thyroid function, but this is not like catching a cold, you will need treatment for life in most cases.

Although it can not be completely cured but it can be prevented. Theroid disease often have two types; hypothyroidism which is the under production of the thyroid hormone called thyroid, while the over production of it is known as hyperthyroidism. And basically these conditions are caused by inadequate consumption of iodine.

Some of the symptoms of the lack of tthyroxine could range from stunted grown, gigatism, tiredness, depression, anxiety, just to name a few, depending of its type and the gender.
However, it has scientifically be proven that thyroid diseases can be prevented by increasing the intake of food substances that are rich in iodine. Iodine is a natural occuring substances that are used in the formulation of foods. And lack of this iodine causes thyroid diseases.

No, in most cases, thyroid conditions can be effectively managed with medication and lifestyle changes. However, it is important to note that the thyroid is a vital organ and it is not possible to completely "cure" a thyroid condition. Instead, the goal of treatment is to manage the condition and maintain normal thyroid hormone levels in the body.

The answer to this question depends on the specific condition affecting the thyroid. In some cases, such as thyroid nodules or goiters, the condition can be cured with surgery or medications. In other cases, such as thyroid cancer, treatment may not be curative but may be able to control the condition. In cases of autoimmune conditions like Hashimoto's thyroiditis, there is no cure but the condition can be managed with medications.

The best way to treat thyroid disease may vary depending on the individual's individual medical history and health condition. However, some believe that cure is only possible if the thyroid is completely cured, as this will standardize blood tests and improve treatment for other medical problems that may follow.

Yes, there is a permanent treatment for hyperthyroidism. Removing your thyroid through surgery or destroying your thyroid through medication will cure hyperthyroidism. However, once your thyroid is removed or destroyed, you'll need to take thyroid hormone replacement medications for the rest of your life.
