I have sadly experienced this before, however there are a few different things that could be wrong with your ipad itself, have you tried using a different box and cord to connect your phone? Have you checked to see if there may be any damage to the charger port itself? If the ipad absolutely will not turn on it may be the actual battery of the ipad may need to be replaced! Hopefully this may help with your question!

It depends on a variety of factors, but one common cause is that the battery in an iPad may not be fully re-charged after using it for a while. This is because the iPad is not meant to be used for extended periods of time, but rather covered with a computer for a brief period of time. The problem may then need to be addressed by the iPad manufacturer or someone who will need to charge the battery.

Your iPad might have a dirty or damaged charging port. Your iPad needs more power from your power adapter or other power source. Your charging accessory is defective, damaged, or not certified by Apple. Your USB charger isn't designed to charge iPad.

An iPad may experience charging problems due to various reasons. Here are a few common causes:

1. Faulty charging cable or adapter: A damaged or malfunctioning cable or adapter can prevent proper charging.

2. Dust or debris in the charging port: Accumulated dust or debris can block the connection between the charging cable and the iPad's charging port, leading to charging issues.

3. Software issues: Sometimes, software glitches or conflicts can interfere with the charging process. Performing a software update or troubleshooting the software settings may help resolve the problem.

4. Battery or hardware issues: If the iPad's battery is old or faulty, it may not charge properly. Additionally, hardware malfunctions, such as a damaged charging port or faulty power management circuit, can cause charging problems.

5. Incompatible power source: Using an incompatible or low-power USB port or charger may result in slow or inadequate charging.

If an iPad is experiencing charging problems, it's recommended to try different charging cables and adapters, clean the charging port, update the software, or consult an authorized service provider for further assistance.
