Ratio shows the relationship between two or three numbers, for instance, how many times the first or the second number can enter the third number. Example, 3:2:1 is twice 6:4:2. Proportion on the other hand, refers to two variables(let's say a number)that has a constant ratio. For instance, y= kx, here k is the constant value that will equalise both parties,( the y and the x value).

On the other hand, unitary method means the use of necessary calculations to find the desired answer related to variations. In short, unitary methods involve the use of ratios and proportions to find the desired value.

Ratio, A ratio is a comparison of two or more quantities that expresses the relative size of the quantities. For example, the ratio of 3 apples to 2 oranges is 3:2.

Proportion, A proportion is an equation that states that two ratios are equal. For example, if the ratio of apples to oranges is 3:2, then the proportion would be 3/2 = x/y, where x and y are the corresponding number of apples and oranges.

Unitary Method, The unitary method is a method of solving problems involving a unit rate. It is used to determine the cost of a single item when the total cost and the number of items are known. For example, if the total cost of 10 items is $30, then the unit rate is $3 per item.

Ratio The measure of a quantity by which it is divided by the number of its parts.

Proportion  A part of a quantity which is greater than another part.

Unitary method Methods which use one quantity as the standard for measuring another.

Ratio is the relationship between two quantities. Proportion is an equation that shows two ratios are equal. Unitary method involves solving a proportion to find a single unit value. For example, if 3 apples cost $6, the unitary method can be used to find that each apple costs $2.

unitary method. HuThe formula of the unitary method is to find the value of a single unit and then multiply the value of a singunit bybyo the number of units to get the necessary value. For example, the time taken by train to cover 100km per hour is equal to the time taken by it to cover the distance of 500km for 5 hours. Such as 100km/hr = 500km/5hrs
