Which site do you find more reliable? I think I prefer Amazon because their customer support is good if things go wrong.

Hi!

I have shopped in both sites and i think amazon is much more reliable. As you mentioned their customer support is so reliable and fast! Plus they seem to be much more open and clear as to where you are getting your merchandise from.

eBay on the other hand seems more user to user, less reliable in my opinion. You need to be more careful as from who you are buying from.

When shopping on eBay there can be issues at times with the sellers sending you what they offer. I've purchased a few items on eBay and I've always gotten what I ordered. However, I know a few people who had problems getting the items delivered to their home and they had to go through the hassle of getting a refund. This is an excellent platform and normally there aren't a lot of problems on it. The items normally sold on there are used, so a lot of times you can find a good deal on something that you're looking for.

Amazon is one of the largest online shopping stores and is trusted worldwide by billions of people. I actually like Amazon and will buy most of my things from this company. I have shopped at a few other online stores and have never been disappointed.

If I'm looking for a new item, I'll shop on Amazon. However, if I'm looking for an item that is no longer available, I'll go to eBay to find out if they have it. I needed a watch last year that was no longer sold anywhere online. I knew it would be a used watch, but I had to find one. I did find one on eBay and when it arrived, it was like a brand new watch.

This will depend on what you're looking for and if the item is discontinued or not.

Ebay hands down. The absolutely last time I tried to log-in, I had to do a 'captcha', then get a secret code sent to my email, open the email, get the code, go back to Amazon, do another even worse captcha, then repeat the process because the code had expired. By the time I had finally logged in, I was so enraged I not only forgot what I was going to buy, I was quite ready to end Amazon. Then when I tried to close the account down, I was stopped from doing so by some 'catch 22', so I just disable the account by changing the email to a defunct one, and the password to a long one I typed out with eyes closed. Then I 'lost' the debit card Amazon had on file, so the bank had to issue another with a new number.

The most grief eBay has ever gave me was one 'captcha', and it was an easy one. Paypal on the other hand is starting to try to force me to get a cell phone, so I might be flipping off eBay in the future. Oh well, there is always Etsy and a host of other sources. Amazon and eBay think they are irreplaceable...they are NOT!

Yes, Amazon is reliable because it is available abroad. You need to be a member of Amazon Prime to be able to get good access to buying some items that has fast delivery and you can buy prices below 25 USD without any extra charge or free delivery. I will choose eBay which is a more practical one you can purchase an item that has free delivery even if the price is low. You have the option of free delivery and return too.

Yes, Amazon has the Prime feature.  However, I cannot afford to pay for Prime.

I love shopping on eBay.  The cost is low and I almost always get free shipping, as I always search for items with free shipping and get free shipping!

I think eBay all the way!

I would recommend Amazon because they have a better reputation for reliability and customer service. They also have a wide selection of products available, so it's easier to find what you're looking for. Ebay has some great deals, but their customer service is not as reliable and it can be difficult to tell if a seller is trustworthy.

In short

Ebay offers an auction-style format and lower fees, while Amazon has fixed-price listings and faster shipping options. Both have large product selections.

I would recommend Amazon over Ebay, as Amazon offers a wider variety of products, often at lower prices, and a more reliable delivery system. Amazon's customer service is also generally more helpful and informative, and their return policy is easier to understand and navigate. In addition, Amazon is constantly innovating and providing new services and features, which make it a more attractive option than Ebay

There is, unfortunately, no definitive winner! While Amazon scores well for trust, loyal customers, lower fees, branding opportunities and their fulfilment service, eBay wins for competitiveness, lower fees, loyalty and fewer restrictions!
