Before giving any scientific explanation, I would like to share my own childhood experience. When I was a kid, I was afraid of dark whenever the light goes out I panicked, I always felt like anytime the ghost will appear or something like that, Then I start to sing loudly and as the volume of my voice increases, I felt less fear and every time the light goes out I started to do so. Therefore according to me, music or song do have a certain effect on our brain. Coming to the scientific explanation, Music engages our brain from the current situation and drifts our thoughts with its rhythm to the beautiful memories we have. Researches have been conducted and it proved that music can reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and pain as well. But it also depends upon which type of music are we listing. Listing to relaxing music can help us cope with our anxiety and stress and will keep us calm and relaxed. Music also has the ability to heal us.
