Why does it not snow in greater parts of Africa?

How does snow form and why are certain parts of the world devoid of snow. Is it just the weather pattern that determines this?

There are certain mountainous regions in Africa where it snows such as Caderberg, seres and Drakensberg whereas a greater part of Africa doesn't snow due to aridity and high temperature. It could be said that there are mainly two countries in Africa where it snow somewhat regularly : Lesotho and South Africa.

Certain parts of the world are devoid of snow due to year long high temperature and arid atmosphere.

It doesn't snow in some parts of Africa because Africa is mostly Hot through out the year and it almost has direct contact with the sun ray, Which makes it hard for anything as cold as snow to develop in Africa ,However some areas such as in mountanious areas and at the peaks of mountains do experience some snow due to low heat levels and high altitudes.
