There are contraceptives and family planning options for both males and females such as condom, vasectomy, etc., still women are the first choice to under go these procedures and use the related options. Why so ? is it right?

I believe it's simply no other reason than the fact that the female is the one that has to carry the child. No, it shouldn't be right to place such expectations on one gender alone, when it takes two to make a baby.

However, there is an upside to this. Oral contraceptives like birth control are very useful at regulating periods and reducing cramps. Plus, you'll know when your period is going to be when you start taking the placibo pills.

Hystorectames aren't as common as they could be because the procedure has to be done as a medical emergency, not a choice. So I believe a vasectomy is the same (I could be mistaken).

As for condoms, I have never used a female condom in my life. My husband has always used them. And they've always been effective, I might add.

But, I digress. No, it's not right to place the burden on one gender alone when both should be careful. One night of fun can turn into childbirth, doctor bills, DNA tests, and child support. It's not worth it.

It is not right and the need to decide on which method to use should be discussed thoroughly between the couple and settle for the best option.

Maybe because men will not end up in nine months with an eight pound fury ripping its way out of their rectum, like the chestbuster from The Alien movie? Can't be bothered with the oh-so intellectually taxing use of contraceptives? Or requiring the guy to use a rubber? Try tubal ligation, or better yet, stick with the vibrator.

Why is it gals never whine about guys not having to use Kotex or tampons, when women are "forced and expected to"? Or Midol? Is it fair? Mother Nature ain't fair...she's a misogynist!

Its been years already practiced that women should do contraceptives more than men. Psychologically speaking when men will do contraceptives it is like being a lesser man on their ego or lesser of a man for them. We can only know some men does this more than women. Women would rather do contraceptives just to give the lust of their partner since women are the one who suffers a lot physically, emotionally, and mentally when they get pregnant. That is why they are more being offered by a doctor most of the time than men.

Dual protection from the simultaneous risk for HIV and other STDs also should be considered. Condoms are considered a safe and overall effective form of birth control and 98% effective if used properly and also prevent the transmission of certain sexually transmitted infections.

Actually, it is not forcing them to do so. Instead, the health sectors want them to be responsible. It is not fine to have lots of children if not affordable.

Family planning is a choice of ladies to take them to prevent unwanted pregnancies. If you don't want more kids and you are still sexually active it's good to use not by force

There can be many reasons for this. Some women may be interested in using these solutions because they are available to them, others may be interested in the solution because it is good for their health, and others may simply be curious about it. Ultimately, the choice of solution is up to the woman.
