Think positively by making your time happy. Avoid the negative news, pay attention to what makes you happy and focus on good plans for each day.  Pray and stay positive on what makes you smile. Allow the energy in your life hope for anything in your life to stay positive. Meditate and write down your bad thoughts and destroy it later.

Surroundings play a vital role in building your character. If you choose to be with good, optimistic and positive people, you become like them. Always be with people who bring out the best in you. Along with that, you can develop good hobbies like reading, playing musical instruments, playing sports, etc. Meditation is a very important aspect to attain peace of mind. One should meditate every day for atleast 15 minutes. Meditation makes you feel beatific. Whenever you feel sad, you can think about happy memories that will calm you down and make you feel happy.

well from my personal experience, optimism is both a personality trait and a product of our environment.

Anyone can learn to be optimistic the trick is to to find purpose in work and life.

Just surround yourself with all the positive vibes.
