If left untreated or if u refunse to cut off of certain food and change the way u live as in no exersice and eating everything that make ur situation worse. Then eventually it will affect ur eyes... It may start with only 1 and then move to the other. Or it May affect both at once.

Most serious diabetic eye diseases begin with blood vessel problems. If your blood sugar stays high over time, it can damage the tiny blood vessels in the back of your eyes. If you already facing some vision loss from diabetes ask your eye professional to help you find a low vision and rehabilitation clinic. Special eye care professionals can help you manage vision loss that cannot be corrected with glasses, contact lenses, medicine, or surgery. Special devices and training may help you make the most of your remaining vision so that you can continue to be active, enjoy hobbies, visit friends and family members, and live without help from others.

Yes, diabetes can affect your eyes. High blood sugar levels over a prolonged period of time can damage the small blood vessels in the retina at the back of the eye, leading to a condition called diabetic retinopathy.

Diabetic retinopathy can cause changes in your vision, such as blurred or distorted vision, and in severe cases, it can lead to vision loss. Other eye problems that can be caused by diabetes include cataracts and glaucoma.

It's important for people with diabetes to have regular eye exams to monitor for any potential eye problems. Early detection and treatment can help prevent vision loss. In addition to keeping your blood sugar levels under control, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, such as exercising regularly and not smoking, can also help reduce the risk of diabetic eye complications
