Limes are small, round, and green, while lemons are usually larger, oval-shaped, and bright yellow. Though in the kitchen, lemons, and limes are often used in the same way. However, limes are not as frequently used as sweet dishes due to their bitterness.

The difference I knows is lemon is a fruit and lime is a chemical. Lemon and its juice are used. Lime has many chemical properties and used for various purposes. Old people in our village have lime with a leaf.

Lime and lemon are both citrus fruits with similar nutritional profiles, but they differ in taste and appearance. Limes are typically smaller, greener, and more acidic, while lemons are larger, yellower, and have a more sour taste. Limes are commonly used in Latin American, Southeast Asian, and Middle Eastern cuisine, while lemons are popular in Western cooking and used in a variety of dishes and drinks.

Lime and lemon are both citrus fruits, but there are some differences between them in terms of their appearance, flavor, and uses.

Appearance:

Limes are typically smaller and rounder than lemons, with a green color that can range from pale yellow-green to deep green. Lemons, on the other hand, are typically larger and more oval-shaped, with a bright yellow color.

Flavor:

Limes have a tart, acidic flavor that is slightly sweeter than lemons. They also have a distinct aroma that is often used in cooking and cocktails. Lemons have a more sour, acidic flavor that is less sweet than limes.

Uses:

Limes are commonly used in Mexican and Southeast Asian cuisine, as well as in drinks like mojitos and margaritas. They are also used to make lime juice, which can be used in dressings, marinades, and sauces. Lemons are often used in cooking and baking, as well as in drinks like lemonade and hot tea. They are also used to make lemon juice, which can be used in similar ways to lime juice.

In summary, while both lime and lemon are citrus fruits with some similarities, they have distinct differences in terms of appearance, flavor, and uses.

Limes are small, round, and green, while lemons are usually larger, oval-shaped, and bright yellow. Nutritionally, they're almost identical and share many of the same potential health benefits. Both fruits are acidic and sour, but lemons tend to be sweeter, while limes have a more bitter flavor.
