Some tips for transportation

1 Always carry the cylinder in an upright position with the safety valve on top.

2 Never put a propane cylinder in a closed vehicle.

3 Secure the cylinder in the upright position so it can't tip over while you're driving.

Propane tanks should always be transported in an upright position in a secure and ventilated area. They should be secured to prevent tipping or rolling and kept away from heat sources, sparks, and flames. Before transporting, the tank valve should be closed and the tank should be inspected for any damage or leaks. Additionally, it's important to follow local and federal regulations regarding the transportation of propane tanks, which may include obtaining special permits or using specific vehicles for transport.

It is dangerous to travel with a tank on its side, so it's extremely important to keep the propane tank in a vertical position during transport. ALWAYS place the cylinder in a well-ventilated area of the vehicle. ALWAYS close the cylinder valve. Seal it with a plug if required—even if the cylinder is vacant
