Many times I heard people saying if you are happy around plants they grow well, or when you express your love and handle them with affection they grow nicely. Is it true? But how do they really feel what we feel do they have emotions?

I don't know about feelings but they can definitely sense their surroundings. Plants sense water, climate, sunlight and react accordingly. For example, a Mimosa Pudica (Touch me not) plant reacts and closes its leaves when you touch it. A Venus flytrap traps any insect that sits on it and eats the insect. Plants also respond to sound. So they may understand emotions. A happy and positive environment helps for healthy growth of plants.

Do it works another way also? I mean if you are sad or feeling low, can plants change your mood? We have heard about humans and animals as best friends or soulmates but can this same thing can be said in the case of human and plant relationships?

Yes, plants can be your soulmates too. I have literally seen people talking to their plants when they get sad.

Exactly it right. Plants are mostly understand humans feelings. Plants have live also. Human feelings extract plants silently and give happiness to human through their products like flowers, fruits and other ways

Nor does it experience fear, anger, relief or sadness as it topples to the ground. Trees — and all plants, for that matter — feel nothing at all, because consciousness, emotions and cognition are hallmarks of animals alone, scientists recently reported in an opinion article.

While no one claims that plants “feel” emotions, as humans do, plants do show signs of “sensing” their surroundings. ... The term may sound provocative, because plants don't have brains – or even neurons, for that matter – and it could just be it's intended that way.

Well i don't thinm they do. But I have heard some stories like im a town where people want remove a tree they don't cut it down instead all the people gather around that tree and curse it, then the tree automatically dies after a few days.

Those who are plant lovers believe that plants do. In a scientific context, it is a myth. Since most of our emotions are coming from the thalamus of our brain.

There are many examples of plants having feelings:

Many plants spread out their roots in soil to absorb water and nutrient but they don't absorb anything dangerous from the soil. When somebody touches the leaves of Mimosa pudica. Its leaves fold to  protect themselves from any arm. Plants can also hear sounds. When researcher Lilac Hadany and her team played the recordings of buzzing bee to beach evening-primrose, the sugar content of the flower nectar increased. Sunflower grows towards the sun. It senses the amount of sunlight coming and move towards the maximum sunlight.

No , although plant is a living thing,it does not have an ability to understand the emotion of human being , only ones person can understand and interpret the emotion of another person

I would say that biologically plants have no feelings at all. However, they adapt slowly to changes in their surrounding and that can not be classified as feelings or emotions. It is a biological change that has been structurally designed to perform that specific function. Every thing that is well taken care of is likely to grow and succeed as desired. For instance, a person who does not like taking care of plants can be employed to do so. As long as that person does what is required, the plant will naturally grow well as it is taken care of even if the person shows no concern or affection to the plant.

Honestly No, till now it is not true that plants can understand our emotions. While plants are capable of responding to certain stimuli, such as light, water, and touch, there is no scientific evidence to support the idea that they can perceive or respond to human emotions.

There is a general consensus that plants do have the ability to understand emotions, though they may not be able to express these emotions. Some plants, such as onion, pepper, and tomato, can understand how you are feeling, and what you are feeling. Others, such as carrots and potatoes, do not have this ability and must be eaten to feel emotions.
