Why is the Coronavirus so contagious?

The COVID-19 is mostly spreading from one person to another. The main reason is through respiratory droplets that are released when the person talks, cough or sneeze. These droplet can be inhaled by another person. The COVID-19 droplets are much smaller and they not only land on surfaces, but they linger in the air for much longer. Due to this COVID-19 transmission has become airborne.

For these reasons, COVID-19 is more contagious than others.

The covid 19 particles/droplets are released when a person coughs, sneezes or talks and it settles on surfaces and travels in air. When inhaled by another person, it causes infection and that is how it spreads.

Those who may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and those who have recently travelled to a country or region with the widespread transmission have been advised to self-quarantine for 14 days from the time of last possible exposure.

The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air, and quickly fall on floors or surfaces. You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth.

The primary way of transmission of Covid-19 is by respiratory droplets released during breathing, talking, coughing, and sneezing. The next person takes a breath of these droplets.

Coronavirus is highly contagious due to its ability to spread through respiratory droplets when an infected person talks, coughs, or sneezes, and its ability to survive on surfaces for an extended period. The virus can also spread from asymptomatic carriers, making it difficult to control.
