Great, I used to be scammed by a phone repair man and then when He changed my screen then the buttons on the side was broken.

Well it depends how old the phone is.If the phone is 6months old or below then I suggest you repair the screen but if it is older then it would a good idea to buy a new phone as the old phone will be worn out by then anyway and there is a slightly high possibility that the other parts inside the phone may have got affected by the fall

In my country where labor of those technicians were higher than a regular phone I'd rather recommend to buy a new one. But once your area has lesser price on new materials to repair then go buy a screen and if necessary add some screen protector to it to prevent scratches and be more durable when it falls.
