American federalism is best for country like india. Here in India central govt has definitely overriding powers over the states .

In USA overall degree of freedom for individuals ,states is more than in India.

How does a federal system differ from other forms of government? A federal system is one in which governmental powers are shared by the national and state governments, which remain separate sovereigns. A unitary system is one in which the national government is dominant over state governments.

The choice between American federalism and Canadian federalism for India would depend on several factors such as governance, culture, and political preferences. Both models have their strengths and weaknesses, and it would be best to consider India's unique circumstances and needs before making a decision.

It is not appropriate to say that one form of federalism is inherently better than another for a particular country without considering the country's unique political, economic, and social contexts.

Both American federalism and Canadian federalism have their own strengths and weaknesses. In American federalism, the national government has more power, while in Canadian federalism, the provincial governments have more power. However, this does not necessarily mean that one system is better suited for India than the other.

India has its own form of federalism, with a central government and state governments that have varying degrees of autonomy. India's federal system has evolved over time and has been shaped by various political, economic, and social factors.

Therefore, instead of trying to adopt an existing form of federalism from another country, India should continue to evolve its own federal system that meets the needs and aspirations of its people. This could involve giving more power to state governments, strengthening the role of local governments, or other reforms that reflect India's unique political, economic, and social contexts

Canadian federalism would suit India best as it emphasizes a strong central government with shared powers between the national and provincial governments.

This model would aid in maintaining unity and stability in a diverse country like India, while accommodating regional differences and providing adequate representation for each state.

American federalism, with its greater emphasis on state rights and autonomy, may lead to challenges in maintaining national cohesion and addressing disparities within India.
