Responding to your question, since its been unanswered for quite some time. I would suggest you better check with the Regional Transport Office and check if they do registration for such out of state cars. As per my knowledge, there shouldn't be any problem if you bring an out of state car and get it registered at the place where you reside.

Yes, you can typically register a car in California with an out-of-state driver's license. However, California may have specific requirements or rules related to out-of-state residents registering vehicles, so it's advisable to check with the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or visit their website for the most up-to-date information and any documentation you may need.

In California, you can generally register a car with an out-of-state driver's license. However, there are certain conditions to be aware of:

Residency Requirement: If you establish residency in California, you are required to obtain a California driver's license within 10 days. Residency is usually established by things like employment, voter registration, or renting/buying a home in the state.

Vehicle Registration: You must register your vehicle in California within 20 days of establishing residency or getting a job in the state. This involves paying the required fees and obtaining California license plates.

It's crucial to check the latest information and specific requirements with the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or consult with them directly, as regulations may change over time.
