Vinesh Phogat won a gold medal in Asian games, brushing aside her rivals with remarkable ease in 50kg category. At the same year she also won a back-to-back gold medals in Commonwealth games. Making her the first Indian woman who won gold medals in both - the Commonwealth game and Asian games.

Geeta Phogat is an Indian freestyle wrestler .Her father,Mahavir Singh Phogat ,a former wrestler and her coach.

She won gold in commonwealth on 2014(48kg)&2018(50kg)

She won the gold medal in Women's 50 Kg Freestyle Wrestling at the 2018 Common Wealth Games in Gold Coast.
She also won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games and became the First Indian to win Gold Medal in the Asian Games. She beated Japan's Yukie Irie in Women's 50 Kg Freestyle Wrestling and the match score was 6-2.image
