I think it is easy to devide people by taking about their religion. Because people like to hear on this topic. It is a point of their interest. So, if they listen to you, you can sell them any idea wrapped under religious wrapper.

Very true nowadays people run after the idea of shortcut success and solution, rather than praying by their own self and working hard to build a relationship with God they search for shortcut ideas to fulfill their prayer request and this make them a soft target for the evil-minded people who are out there waiting for such vulnerable people to sell their religious business.

Nowadays people have become more selfish and hard-hearted, they don't care about others they only care for their benefits and success, and if the religious business gives them that benefit and success then, they are even ready to do so.

Anyway, Clergy members such as pastors, deacons and priest see the need to earn as much income as they can for ministering to people which is good if these gains are used to help the church and its Godly purposes but wrong if used to promote the prosperity of these religious workers.
