There are so many places to visit in India but since you have asked let me make it a bit easier for you.

First of all you should visit Taj Mahal for which India is well-known. So you shouldn't miss it anyway. After that go for the "Land of kings" Rajasthan you shouldn't miss it too anyway since the land helds the beautiful deserts and the remnants of queens and kings of the past centuries , there you can visit the great palaces and you can visit Jaipur - the pink city of India. And you should visit Rishikesh where you can enjoy the banks of holy Ganges river and the foothills of the Himalayas and you must visit the "jewel of punjab" Amritsar for its remarkable Golden Tempel. And goa for it's incredible beaches and seafood dishes and Kerela for its breathtakingly beautiful natural sights and wildlife. And darjeeling for its lush green beautiful plantations and it is also the perfect place for arranging a mountain trek or mountain biking adventure and LASTLY Kashmir as it is popular as the "paradise on earth" beacause it has snow-capped mountains, plentiful wildlife, exquisite monuments and MUCH MORE.. So welcome to India.

A place in Kashmir is one of the best to visit in India, it is called "Heaven on Earth" its a beautiful hill station can't be described in words. The mesmerizing beauty of this land always attracts tourists from around the world. You can enjoy a lot of activities like rock climbing, nature walks, wildlife tours, houseboat rides, hikes, and treks. It's a fantastic spot for honeymoon couples, March is the best time to visit in Kashmir as the place has mild weather.

Well then I believe you will find 10 days very short.

Anyway If you visit towards the north then go and look the natual beauty of Kashmir. And the historical value of Delhi, Lucknow.

If you visit the easter side then do visit Meghalaya, and all the waterfalls will amaze you.

If you visit the western side then go for Rajasthan, if you visit the southern side then go for entire southern region, you don't wanna miss anything there.

There are many places in India worth visiting. I would like to prefer you to visit south India because of its culture and workaholic nature of netizens. Besides this, there are many places in the south which are worth visiting. You can also visit Kashmir administered by India which is called as Paradise on earth.

Taj Mahal is very overrated these days and reflects the architecture of Mughal dynasty which doesn't reflect our true heritage! If you really wanna see the true culture and heritage of India then visit Varanasi Ram temple, Mahabalipuram temple and specially rameshwaram Dhanushkodi. Visit World's largest statue the statue of Unity, Gujarat and finally none other than Himalayan ranges which will take away your breath and you'd be awestruck after reliving the breathtaking Himalayan valleys!
