Yes, Reindeer have red noses for real and they do have a reason behind it. Reindeer lives in harsher climates, because of this they have densely packed noses with blood vessels that help regulate their body temperature.

"When reindeer are feeding, their noses are exposed to very low temperatures as they look for food under the snow," said Ronald Kroger, the University's Professor of Functional Zoology. " They pump warm blood into the mule which means it can be a bit reddish because of this strong blood flow.

Unfortunately there is only one red nosed raindear and his name is Rudolph. Raindears are usually found in  in the northern parts of the world (Scandinavia, Canada, Russia) all have brown noses.

In order to keep reindeer's brain warm and active at all times, blood arteries in their noses warm up cold air as it enters the body and cool down warm air as it exists. The bottom line, reindeers' noses are red in reality.

The red nose of reindeer, like Rudolph, is due to a dense network of blood vessels that helps regulate their body temperature in cold environments. It also may help them see better in low-light conditions.

Reindeer, the ones living in harsher climates, really do have red noses and for good reason. The noses are densely packed with blood vessels that help regulate their body temperatures. Reindeer eyes can change color from gold to blue, and back again.
