Yes, sharks are color blind. Sharks are unable to distinguish colors, even their closest relatives have same color vision, despite of their high cone number.

Yes they are colour blind.they only have single long wavelength sensitive cone which senses colour though they are more sensitive to light.

The sharks are not blind, they cannot see a lot of colors clearly. While they struggle to distinguish colors and detect objects, a shark's vision is still sufficient enough for it to perform death-defying feats when pursuing its prey. Although sharks don't have any visible ears, they are no more deaf than they are blind. They have an acute sense of directional hearing that enables them to detect low vibration frequencies and locate potential prey.

Sharks maybe able to sense blood from miles away but they know how red it is, so technically they are colorblind base on research and study.

Ten species tested had no color-sensing cells, while seven had only one type. Sharks may be able to smell blood from miles away, but they probably don't know how red it is: New research suggests sharks are color-blind.

They do not have cells to detect color. They can smell blood from a particular distance, but they can not distinguish the color red because of color-blindness.

According  to scientists, color sensing cells are absent in 10 species of sharks with means that they're colourblind whereas there is only one kind of color sensing cell in seven other species.

While sharks are not completely color blind, their color vision is limited compared to humans. They are better at detecting contrast and movement.
