How do the Luna moth affect a vegetable garden?

Luna caterpillars eat the foliage of walnuts, hickories, pecan, persimmon, sweetgum, and sumacs. So unless you grow these, you have no problem.

As specified by others, they don't affect a vegetable garden. If seen in the garden, they are more than likely just resting. So your garden? It's pretty safe. The Luna is just resting on its search for better food. Like tomato, peppers, squash, peas, and lettuce.
