1. the Milky Way is the galaxy our system resides within. When the skies are dark and clear the Milky Way appears like a bright belt f stars.

2.  The Milky Way galaxy contains an estimated 100-400 billion stars, but these numbers are constantly changing as new stars are born and old stars die out

3.The average star is between 1 to 10 billion years old, although some stars are older than this.

4. The most common type of star is red dwarf

5. 'Twinkle, twinkle, little star..." is a real song, but stars don't actually twinkle.

1. Any celestial object which can generate its own energy through nuclear fusion is known as star.
2. Every star has different level of brightness. Some are more bright whereas others are less. This difference in brightness is known as luminosity.
3. Stars have different colors because each star has different temperature. Stars with hotter temperature are blue or white in color whereas stars with cooler temperature are red in color. 
4. To study them better, stars have been divided into groups known as constellation. Greeks were able to divide stars into 80 different constellations.
5. The bigger the size of the star the less life span it has because it burns more fuel. So, smaller stars live longer.
