Do you believe Indian education system is really encouraging ? If no/yes, why ?

The Indian education system concentrates more on acquiring information , than on creativity . This improves the memory of the student , but does not encourage creativity to do independent research . With the vast information available from various sources , the system tests knowledge based on memory . Unless there is a transformation from existing models , from gaining more information , to acquiring relevant & essential information & learning to be more creative , by concentrating on the skills & aptitude of students , education would not make much impact on improving standards of students in India . Many students who complete college , do not have the skills to get employment in reputed organisations & need to be trained again for getting jobs . Most of the top Indian Institutions do not have high ranking in the international list of great institutes , because they do not have adequate publications in research journals , highlighting their lack of contribution to good quality research .

Since I am not living in India, I must say the educational system is usually good at prestige schools. In my view, India has these schools.

It depends on different factors such as the student's level of expertise, or who is teaching. Some people may believe that the Indian education system is actually promoting its students' intelligence and creativity, as opposed to their lies and cheated eggs.
