"Diarrhea is a condition characterized by loose, watery stools and increased frequency of bowel movements. It is usually caused by viral, bacterial, or parasitic infections, ingestion of contaminated food or water, food intolerances, medication side effects, or other underlying medical conditions. Dehydration is a common complication of diarrhea, so it is important to replace lost fluids and electrolytes.
