In 1814 , Stephenson constructed his first locomotive, Blucher for hauling coal at Killingworth Colliery near Newcastle.

It was the first of a series of locomotives.

Built in 1829, Stephenson's Rocket is an early steam locomotive of 0-2-2 wheel arrangement.

Blucher - > built in 1814. also known as Blutcher . can haul 8 waggons loaded with 30 tons of weight at a speed of 4mph. its boiler has 2 vertical cylinders. used single pipe boiler.

Rocket -> built in 1829. First to use a blastpipe. has multiple flues & horizontal pistons. more stable & powerful than blucher. The piston are angled at 35 degree. max speed achieved by rocket was 36 mph. used multi-tubular boiler.
