You can grow tomatoes from fresh tomatoes just plant an entire slice of tomato. Slice the tomato into 1/4 inch thick slices, and plant under a layer of soil. Be sure to keep your soil moist. If you're planting indoors, you might want to cover your pot or tray with something clear that will still allow light in, but keep the moisture from getting out. In order to germinate fresh tomatoes, you prepare container make holes to have adequate drainage to keep your roots healthy. Next, fill the soil that has minerals and nutrients required for starting seedlings. You can put directly a slice of fresh tomato in the soil, gently covering them, and pour a little water to keep moist. Cover the container with a clear covering and put it in a sunny spot.

Simply lay thin tomato slices on top of a pot filled with potting soil, cover with more soil, and water. Within a week or two, you should have seedlings to transplant into individual pots that become fully grown tomato plants.

It is advisable because the root system gets better the more plants you bury in the ground. A tomato's plant buried stem will develop roots.

Yes, it is possible to grow a tomato plant from the seeds inside of a tomato. Simply remove the tomato from the fruit, and pick out the seeds. Once the seeds have been extracted, place them in a container filled with potting soil and sprinkle with some water. Put the container in a sunny spot and keep the soil moist but not too wet. With proper care and time, a tomato plant should begin to sprout and eventually start to bear fruit.
