The Pros

1. Saves time - Depending on what you are making you will spend an average of 2 1/2 hours in the kitchen once a week as opposed to 2 1/2 hours per meal. Which comes out to 7 hours a day or 49 hours a week in the kitchen. That's more than a full-time position.
2. Saves money - When you already know what you are preparing for the next week or few days you won't have to make last-minute trips to the store for one vital ingredient. Saving you on transportation costs.
3. Ease of mind - Given that everything is already prepared that is one less thing you have to consider during your day, just heat (if applicable) and eat.

The Cons
1. Repeats - Depending on how much of a dish you make will determine how many times you have to eat the same meal. For instance, if you are not a huge fan of spaghetti and you make a large stockpot full. You will likely grow to hate spaghetti once you are done with the last meal.

The advantage is you can save time and money when doing it. The disadvantage is that it needs to find cheaper ingredients in the market.
