Please check the specification of your computer. This can be done by following navigation:

Windows key- My or This computer- Local C drive(containing Windows logo, where Windows is installed)- Properties.

Or you can check in Settings. The navigation is:
Windows key- Settings(gear icon)- System- About(last option). This is for Windows 10.

After that check the specification of your computer on the internet according to the product name. You can now see the difference in RAM if it is present.

First of all, find the model number of your laptop. This may be visible somewhere on the body of the laptop, like on the bottom perhaps. Then, look it up on the internet, and find its specifications.

Then, open the Start menu and type 'system information'. Click 'System Information' in the results that show.

There you will be able to see how much RAM the computer has. And if this figure is more than the official specifications online, the RAM must have been replaced.

1-Search for "Windows Memory Diagnostic" in your start menu, and run the application. ...

2-Select "Restart now and check for problems." Windows will automatically restart, run the test and reboot back into Windows. ...

3-Once restarted, wait for the result message.

To check if your laptop's RAM has been replaced, you can follow these steps:

  • Turn off your laptop and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open the RAM compartment on the bottom of the laptop. This is usually indicated by a screw or latch.
  • Carefully remove the RAM module(s) from the compartment.
  • Check the brand, capacity, and speed of the RAM module(s) against the original specifications of your laptop's RAM. You can find this information in the laptop's manual or by searching for your laptop model online.
  • If the RAM module(s) installed in your laptop do not match the original specifications, then they have been replaced.

If you're unsure about how to open the RAM compartment or identify the RAM module(s), it's recommended to take your laptop to a professional repair shop. They can help you with the process and ensure that your laptop is working properly.

reboot the computer and go into BIOS setup and look for the security or maintenance logs. The logs would note the change in system RAM. Now the logs can be cleared, but the log would note that is was cleared with a timestamp. As for changes to memory in Windows.
