An actual preview of the reality of eternity in heaven would cause any of us to spend the rest of our lives in exuberant anticipation. Five "crowns" awarded for our godly efforts will echo throughout eternity.

The incorruptible crown that awaits us is superior to any earthly award. We receive it for furthering God's purposes while exercising self-control and having the mindset of a champion.

For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I Corinthians 9:19,23,25

The greatest rejoicing imaginable will be for those who have helped others find God.

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy. I Thessalonians 2:19-20

Those who "love his appearing" by keeping God's commandments will receive a crown of righteousness, for in walking according to God's Word, we have "kept the faith."

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8

For resisting temptation, a special award, the crown of life, awaits us, encouraging us in the present.

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12

By treating the people that look up to us as important in our lives and worthy of receiving kindness, we are examples and will receive an eternal crown of glory.

Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. I Peter 5:2-4

Not very excited to be honest.

Heaven comes about long after you are dead, when you may not be the same person as the one reading this post. So why would you care about a future that may not come.

Second, you may get fed up of heaven after a while. It is the equalivent of eating chocolate bars until you get sick.

I hear that heaven is the place for the holy people in other words (cleansed from sin) the Lord says seek me while the is still time for repentance, I'm interested in going there after this life to the lords mansions I wonder how heaven looks like some people have experience of seeing heaven in their dreams.

Whether or not someone should get excited about heaven is a personal belief that depends on their worldview, religious or philosophical beliefs, and personal experiences. For those who believe in an afterlife, the promise of eternal life in heaven can be a source of hope, comfort, and joy. Many religious traditions describe heaven as a place of perfect peace, happiness, and love, where believers will be reunited with loved ones and will experience the ultimate fulfillment of their spiritual journey.

For believers, the prospect of heaven can provide a sense of purpose, motivation, and comfort, especially during difficult times. The belief in heaven can also inspire individuals to live their lives in a way that reflects their values and beliefs, as they strive to earn a place in the afterlife. Ultimately, whether or not heaven is worth getting excited about is a personal decision that depends on one's individual beliefs, values, and experiences.

Heaven is not a place in reality where we will go to. Somehow we imagine that heaven is a distant place up in the stars where God resides and after death, we will go there. But the truth is after death, the body returns to dust. Nobody goes to heaven. Heaven is just a place that we should imagine we go to, but in reality, we return to earth in a rebirth. We experience heaven or hell, right here on earth because of the suffering, that we will experience or the reward, we will be given in a new body as we carry our karma and return. Therefore, yes, heaven can be considered to be a metaphor, because there is no heaven but we will experience heaven or hell, in a birth, a rebirth on earth.
