It depends on where this place is located or even the country, too. In my country Philippines, it is allowed to bring some snacks to hostel rooms.

When leaving for a hostel, it's a good idea to carry non-perishable and easy-to-carry Indian snacks that can provide you with a quick and nutritious bite whenever you need it. Here are some popular Indian snacks that you can consider carrying:

  1. Khakhra: Khakhra is a crispy and savory snack made from wheat flour. It's low in calories and high in fiber, making it a healthy option.

  2. Chivda: Chivda is a mix of flattened rice, peanuts, and spices. It's a crunchy and flavorful snack that can be eaten on its own or added to salads.

  3. Mathri: Mathri is a savory biscuit made from flour, spices, and ghee. It's a popular snack in North India and can be eaten with tea or coffee.

  4. Namak pare: Namak pare is a crispy and savory snack made from flour, salt, and spices. It's a popular snack in India and can be eaten on its own or with chutney.

  5. Roasted chickpeas: Roasted chickpeas are a healthy and protein-packed snack that can be seasoned with spices for extra flavor.
