To go on the safe side it would be aged 6+ because majority of suffocation among toddlers and children happens from age 1-4 according to online sources.

Due to safety concerns the safe age can be recommended for wearing necklaces for ages 4 and above. The standard size for children's necklaces is 16 inches, some are smaller depending on what desire you want. Special care should be taken when your child is wearing a necklace. Ensure they are supervised at all times. Necklaces can present a choking hazard.

I think it is best not to let the kids have pieces of jewelry in public. They can only use them if attending special occasions. Wearing them can be dangerous because evil people would want to steal them at all costs.

By 5 year , girl can wear doumbles chain, cross layered chain, pinned chain and cartoon characters chain are also there.

Better didn't put the chain while going to school or outside playground.  If parents are along with them then it's ok

I guess a child should not wear necklace yet because they're not yet responsible of that jewelry yet. I have many bling blings back when I was a kid but I wear it in my parents supervision.

According to my opinion the best age for a child to wear necklace is 10 years, this is ideal age for child to know the meaning of wearing it.

It's generally not recommended for children under 3 to wear necklaces due to the risk of choking or strangulation. Always supervise children when wearing jewelry.

Young children may also risk choking themselves with necklaces. You might not think a necklace on a child is dangerous, but a child of four years or younger could easily twist and turn, especially in their sleep, and accidentally wrap the necklace around their neck, restricting their ability to breathe.

The age at which it is safe for a child to wear a necklace largely depends on the individual child, their level of maturity and physical development. Generally, it is recommended that children under the age of three should not wear necklaces due to the risk of choking or strangulation.

However, if your child has reached an appropriate level of developmental maturity and can properly understand safety guidelines such as keeping jewelry out of their mouth, then they may be ready to wear a necklace earlier than three years old.

I think putting a expensive necklace on a child is really not a good thing they can lost it and other than they can be targeted because of this as well as so if you are able to provide them you can give them a necklace after age 10 and if you are concerned about their safety you should give necklace to them when they turn 15.

For infants and young children, it's safest to avoid necklaces due to the risk of choking or injury. As children grow older, consider their maturity level and choose necklaces carefully, ensuring they are made of safe materials and worn under supervision.
