"We can do great things with love" by Mother Teresa. I came to know the real meaning of this quote during my six months community service. I was posted in a certain children's home in which most of my fellow students avoided at all. Most of the kids there were totally disabled and couldn't help out themselves at all.The kind of work we did there was literally "dirty" as many would refer to it as that way.
What I realised is that those kids wanted love.Carrying them on a wheel chair to the sun was there joy and despite of them not knowing how to speak, they always loved when someone was there to sing for them and help them pronounce some words. This work wasn't easy, then at times, we used to help them eat since they could not feed themselves. After there, we had to do their laundry which was even worse. I remember most of my fellow colleagues had to quit the community service or even asked for a transfer. It was never easy and it will never be easy. " With love, we can do great things"
