Honestly, it does not hurt as much as you think it might hurt. Initially, i was terrified about the needle going my ear but really it feels like nothing

It depends on your personal pain tolerance.

Helix piercing can take anywhere between three to sixth months to heal. Unfortunately like the pain factor it is hard to give healing time as everyone is different

The amount of pain experienced during a helix piercing can vary from person to person. However, in general, most people describe the pain as mild to moderate. The helix is the curved cartilage at the top of the ear, and the piercing needle goes through this tissue. Because cartilage is denser and less pliable than skin, the needle may cause a brief, sharp pain. Some people may also experience a dull ache or throbbing sensation after the piercing is done. The pain level can also depend on the experience and technique of the piercer, as well as the thickness and shape of the individual's cartilage. It's important to keep in mind that pain is subjective, and what one person finds painful may not be the same for another. However, if you are concerned about pain during a helix piercing, you can take over-the-counter pain medication such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen beforehand to help manage any discomfort. It's also important to follow proper aftercare instructions to reduce the risk of infection or other complications.

around a 4-5/10

Helix Piercing

Because the cartilage is thinner on the upper ear, helix piercings tend to be the least painful cartilage piercing. They measure around a 4-5/10 on the pain scale and take around 3-6 months to fully heal.

The pain experienced during a helix piercing can vary from person to person. Pain tolerance, individual anatomy, and the skill of the piercer can all influence the level of discomfort.

Generally, helix piercings are considered to be moderately painful. The helix is the outer rim of the ear, and the needle passes through cartilage tissue, which can be more sensitive than other areas of the body. Some people describe the sensation as a sharp pinch or pressure, while others may feel a dull ache during and immediately after the piercing.
