Use a stone-safe polish about once a week. To polish stone, simply spray the polish directly onto the surface, then buff the surface until it's dry with a lint-free cloth or dry paper towel.

Clean stone surfaces with a few drops of neutral cleaner, stone soap (specific products from Lithofin for example), or a dishwashing detergent and warm water. Use a clean soft cloth for best results. Too much cleaner or soap may leave a film and cause streaks. Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar, or other acids on marble or limestone.

Do clean surfaces with mild detergent or stone soap. Do thoroughly rinse and dry the surface with clean, clear water after washing. Do blot up spills immediately. Do protect floor surfaces with non-slip mats or area rugs and countertop surfaces with coasters, trivets, or placemats.

You start to get rid of any stains, scratches, dull spots, or etch marks. Wrap a clean cloth around a chopping board add a small amount of polish to the center of the board, get a good grip on your stone, rub the sides into the polish on the board and repeat until the whole stone has been polished. You can use a cleaner like bleach or hydrogen peroxide and a gallon of water.

You can use a mixture of water and mild soap to clean natural stone. For polishing, use a commercial stone polish or a mixture of baking soda and water.

You can use a polishing compound specifically designed for natural stone surfaces to polish natural stone. You can find these polishing compounds at most home improvement stores or online. Be sure to read the instructions carefully before applying the compound to the stone.
